Teddington School offers a range of extra-curricular activities. Most activities are free and all students are welcome. However, where activities are led by organisations from outside the school, a termly fee may apply and participation is on a first come first served basis.

Art Open art room every lunchtime for GCSE students . Students from other years may attend to complete work or projects Free
Art Art Masterclasses are offered on Monday and Tuesday after school (3.15-4.45pm) to Key Stage 3 students. Teacher: Raw Ground Arts £
Athletics All students have the opportunity to compete in the Richmond Borough Athletics Championships. In recent years, students have had success at this event as well as at the Middlesex and English Schools competitions. Free
Badminton Badminton club offers the opportunity for students to play at both recreation and competitive level. All years Friday after school. Free
Ball Boy/Ball Girl Training Year 9 and Year 10: Friday after school. September - December. Free
Basketball The boys may compete in the Borough League teams for Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. The girls have Borough tournaments at Year 7, Years 8/9 combined and Year 10/11 combined. The girls have been entered in the Surrey Cup at Year 7, Years 8/9 combined and Years 10/11 (combined). Free
Chess Club    
Choir All years.Wednesday lunchtime. MU1 Free
Cricket Both the boys and girls play indoor and outdoor inter cricket Borough tournaments at Year 7/8 (combined). The girls also have a Year 9/10 (combined) indoor tournament. The boys have friendly Saturday fixtures in Years 7, 8 and 9. The Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 teams are entered in the Middlesex Cup. The Year 7/8 boys (combined) also have a Borough inter cricket league. Home games are played at Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club. Free
Drama There are a number of extra-curricular clubs and activities including House Drama competitions, Shakespeare Schools Festival, Performance Evenings, and the annual production involving students from all year groups. Private LAMDA tuition is also available. Free

French The Year 7 French Club is held on a Monday lunchtime with Ms Tompkins in Room 202. At the same time, GCSE French Support is available for Years 10 and 11 in Room 205 with Ms Green. Free
German GCSE German support is available from Mr Garrett in Room 203 on Tuesday after school. Free

Hockey During extra-curricular time, hockey is run from September to March for both boys and girls.Teams may be entered into the London Hockey Championships led by Teddington hockey Club coach

Karate The Karate club is a friendly yet formal introduction to this martial art. Students typically join in Year 7 or 8, but the club is open to all students, and can offer training all the way to black belt. The traditional karate syllabus has been developed for schools by the United English Karate Federation (uekf.net).  £
