The PTA is continuing to raise funds to spend on the outdoor space at school, with a view to covering some of the outdoor seating area.  As students are now spending more time outside at break and lunch it would be helpful to provide additional seating.

The PTA has been actively spending the funds that have been raised this year to enhance the experience of our children at their school:

  • 6 new heavy duty picnic tables for the outside seating area ;
  • replacement nets for the football nets for the astro pitch goals;
  • internal and external recycling bins to support the students' Green Team initiative;
  • Year 11 and Year 13 Prom welcome drinks ;
  • 4 Canon EOS 1300 DSLR cameras for the GCSE photography;

  • 3 Panasonic cameras  for the Media Studies students ;

  • A Fender Bass guitar for the Music Department;

  • Microrobots kits for STEM for use in class to add to kit that PTA has already funded;

  • Library Fish Tank annual maintenance fund;

  • 10 Chromebooks – the SEN department requested 20 and it was agreed that the PTA would part fund this. The remaining money will come from the covenant funds. The Head of School has confirmed that this equipment has had a big impact on teaching;

PTA Mission Statement

To advance the education of pupils in the school by developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment that support the school.

How the PTA Works

Every parent automatically becomes a member of the PTA for the duration their child is a student at Teddington. Your level of involvement is entirely up to you. Every little helps.

The PTA holds one meeting per term in Room 101. Those who attend can find out what’s happening at school from a member of the Senior Leadership Team, plan forthcoming events and activities and agree how the funds should be spent. It’s a great opportunity to learn a little more about the school and meet other parents. Everyone is welcome and we keep the meeting to 60 minutes.
